Walsh Wireless Troubleshooting

This document is used to troubleshooting your problems when connecting to the Walsh wireless.

  1. Right click on the wireless icon on the lower right of the screen, and click Open Network and Sharing Center.

  1. At the top left of the new screen that popped up. Click on Manage Wireless Networks.

  1. Click on Walsh from the list of wireless networks. Then right-click and go to Properties.

NOTE: If Walsh does not show in the list of networks on the computer, click Add above the lists of Networks. On the next window, click on Manually Create a Network Profile. Fill out the form as follows:

Network name: Walsh
Security Type: WPA2-Enterprise
Encryption Type: AES

After filling out the form and press Next and then click Change connection settings.

  1. Make sure that the Walsh network is set to connect automatically when the network is in range. Then click on the Security tab.

  1. Click on the Microsoft Protected EAP Settings.

  1. Uncheck the Validate server certificate box.

  1. At the bottom of the same window, click Configure… for Secured password Authentication Method.

  1. Uncheck the only box on the screen and then click OK.

  1. Press OK in the Protected EAP Properties window.
  2. At the bottom of the Walsh Wireless Network Properties window, click on Advanced Settings.

  1. Change the authentication mode from Computer and User Authentication to User Authentication and then click OK.

  1. Click OK to exit the Walsh Wireless Network Properties window. You are now ready to connect to the Walsh Wireless Network. Please refer back to the Wireless Setup Guide to complete the setup.
