Walsh College Disburses $700K in Grants and Scholarships for Winter 2024
[Troy, MI, January 31, 2024] – Walsh College is proud to announce the disbursement of $700,000 in grants and scholarships to its students for the Winter 2024 semester. This substantial amount of gift aid, which students are not required to repay, signifies the college’s commitment to making quality education accessible and alleviating the financial burden on students and their families.
The funds allocated for the Winter 2024 semester represent a balanced partnership between Walsh College, its generous donors, and financial aid programs at the federal and state levels. Specifically, $350,000 of the total disbursement originates directly from Walsh College and its philanthropic supporters, who are dedicated to investing in the future of students and the broader community. The remaining $350,000 is funded through various federal and state financial aid programs, ensuring a wide-reaching support system for Walsh College students.
“Our Financial Aid team continues to work very hard to ensure that no money is left on the table in regard to eligibility for financial aid as we know this will help significantly increase the return on investment in a Walsh education. For example, we have strongly communicated with students the need to complete the FAFSA annually as this not only provides eligibility for federal and state financial aid, but also enables the fullest consideration for all Walsh scholarships!” says Jeremy Jones, Director of Financial Aid.
