Biography

Michael Francesco Alioto is adjunct professor of Marketing at Walsh. He teaches courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in marketing research, consumer insights, global research, political science, qualitative methods, and quantitative applications. He also teaches in the DBA and DM doctoral programs where he has responsibilities for the research methods courses.

Alioto is a consultant for Global 1000 companies on the agency side of the business and has worked in the automotive, manufacturing, and telecommunication sectors. He has been involved in product and services development, branding, and marketing studies from both a qualitative and quantitative standpoint. Alioto has specialized in the global and multicultural areas with experience in 20 countries across four continents, as well as working with the applications of behavioral approaches and methods to marketing and marketing research problems.

He is a frequent speaker at American Marketing Association (AMA) and ESOMAR conferences where a number of his works have been published. He contributed to the edited books, ESOMAR: Excellence in International Research (years 2002-2004, where his papers were nominated for the Best Paper Award). Alioto also presented frequently at the ESOMAR Latin American and Qualitative Conferences, as well as at various ESOMAR Congress around the globe. He has also contributed works to various American Marketing Association Conferences and has been published in the AMA Marketing News, Alert Magazine, Survey Magazine, and ESOMAR RW Connect. Alioto is a member of the AMA, ESOMAR, and the Society for Chaos Theory in Psychology and the Life Sciences.

Alioto’s applied and academic research interests include the humanization of marketing research, behavioral economics, non-linear complexity modeling, the psychological framework of the consumer, regime change in Southern Europe and Latin America, European coalition government formation, and globalization.

He specializes in both quantitative and qualitative methods, with a main focus on the comparative method, formal logical theory/game theory, ethnographies/anthropological methods, causal analysis, and theory building.

Joseph R. Corace has spent over 30 years as a business strategist and corporate architect serving large and small business entities. Known for organizational leadership, strategic planning and business development, his expertise also encompasses performance improvement, P/L management, merger and acquisitions, marketing and startup and turnaround operations.

Mr. Corace is a servant leader with a decisive and proactive management style. Engineering oriented and operations drive, he is committed to advocating integrity, honesty and ethical business practices.

Biography

As part of Ford’s D-Ford human centered design group, Professor McCracken conducts research to gain insight into customer wants needs for future Ford and Lincoln products in North America, Europe, South America, Asia, and other markets.

Before joining Ford, he was a senior vice president for consumer insights and strategy at Young & Rubicam Advertising. Professor McCracken’s experience also includes launching the Visteon corporate brand identity across seven countries and directing the communication launch strategy for the MGM Grand Casino.

Thomas Petz is an expert practitioner with PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Social Media, and AJAX technologies.

In 2015, Mr. Petz was named Distinguished Faculty Member of the Year from the Alliance for Excellence in Online Education. In his spare time, he enjoys boating, cooking, reading, and tinkering with technology.

Biography

Before coming to Walsh College, Dr. Richards spent more than 20 years in healthcare information technology as a programmer, systems analyst, project manager, and finally a multinational program manager. She has held multiple positions in various levels of management. She has a Ph.D. in Organizations and Management and wrote her doctoral dissertation on transformational leadership. For more than 20 years, Dr. Richards has taught at the undergraduate,  graduate, and doctoral level. In her present position, she is a full-time Professor, Director of the Walsh Doctoral Programs, and Faculty Chair for Marketing and Management.  Her research interests include leadership, management, process efficiency, and innovation.

Ms. Erinn Dumas is an experienced brand strategist, marketing and events professional with 17 years of experience.  She has proven experience in developing and executing integrated marketing communications campaigns that increase brand awareness within key markets. Erinn is also experienced in writing purpose-driven narratives and messaging with a differentiated point of view for diverse media and segmented audiences.

Ms. Dumas holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Marketing from Virginia State University and a Master’s degree in Public Relations/ Corporate Communications from Georgetown University.

Biography

Amie Gutierrez is an experienced marketing manager with 15+ years of proven achievement in event marketing, building brand awareness, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Ms. Gutierrez’s career in marketing began in corporate event marketing learning from industry experts coordinating motivational events featuring Tony Robbins, Les Brown, and Zig Ziglar. Since that time, she has proven successful developing brand awareness strategy, restoring brand reputation, and positive brand equity through transformational leadership with an emphasis on CRM.

Biography

Saudia has more than a decade of progressive experience in marketing and branding, including management of two rebranding projects with the 4th largest combination utility company in the US. These projects featured TV commercials aired on the Super Bowl, and won a Michigan Emmy, Telly Award and W3 Award for the work. Her work also included authentically integrating environmental and social responsibility into the utility world.

Saudia specializes in integrated branding and marketing campaigns and believes that authentic branding is key to any company’s continued success. In addition to her MBA, she has earned a certificate in Project Management from George Washington University.

Saudia is involved in the community through the Chelsea United Way, local community theatre, and volunteering at her son’s school.

Biography

My undergraduate degree is in communications with a minor in journalism from Oakland University.  I have two graduate degrees from Walsh – a Master of Science in Management and a Master of Science in Marketing.

Writing and public speaking have been a passion of mine since I was in junior high school.  I currently work for the Detroit Zoological Society as the manager of annual giving and stewardship.  Essentially it is my job to write compelling appeals to members and friends of the Zoo as to why they should make a charitable contribution to the Zoo.  I also manage a donor society of 300 families.  I work one on one with them and encourage them to continue giving (and in many cases increase their giving).  Much of this part of my job is done through verbal communication.

I have also been a communications tutor at Walsh for ten years!  I enjoy tutoring students and getting to know them and their future plans.

With a background in working for companies as large as Disney and as small as helping startups get off the ground, Jay has enjoyed working on marketing and public relations efforts of all sizes. After completing his undergraduate degree Jay found his passions leaned more into the marketing space and began pursuing it as a career. After working for a little more than a decade he went back to school and to pursue his MBA.

Today, Jay is the Creative Marketing Director for Walsh College where he leads all paid, earned and owned digital campaign efforts as well as the creative design, copy writing and overall brand management.
