When is the last day to complete the FAFSA for the 2022-2023 academic year?

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid must be received by the processor by June 30, 2023.

The filing deadline for consideration for state grant and scholarship funding is March 1. To be considered for a state grant or scholarship for attendance at Walsh it is important to list Walsh College first on your FAFSA. Our Title IV School Code is 004071.

The 2022-2023 academic year covers:

  • Summer 2022
  • Fall 2022
  • Winter 2023
  • Spring 2023

The FAFSA must be filed each academic year to be evaluated for federal and state aid.

Please note that a valid 2022-2023 FAFSA is required in order to receive aid for the summer 2022 semester.

When are the Scholarship deadlines?

Scholarships are limited to new undergraduate and graduate students prior to attendance. The suggested filing deadlines are:

Starting For New, Incoming Students
Summer June 22nd
Fall September 16th
Winter January 4th
Spring March 30th

Applications that are received after the deadline date will be reviewed only if funding remains available. Students who complete an application and do not begin attending Walsh during the semester they specify on their application will need to submit a new scholarship application. Submitting an application does not guarantee eligibility.

When will Financial Aid and Scholarships be applied to student tuition accounts?

If the student has been determined eligible to receive financial aid and/or a scholarships, payments will be applied after the drop/add period each semester. Payments are based on the credits for which you are enrolled. You must be enrolled at least half-time after the Drop/Add period for payment to be applied to your account. Disbursement dates are as follows:

Summer 2022 July 2022
Fall 2022 October 2022
Winter 2023 January 2023
Spring 2023 April 2023

Entrance and Exit Counseling for Student Loan Borrowers

Federal Direct Loans and Graduate PLUS loan borrowers at Walsh are required to participate in loan counseling. Student loan borrowers who are obligated to attend will be notified. Loan counseling con be completed online at www.studentloans.gov.
