Right to Know

In compliance with the Department of Education’s Student Right-to-Know Act, Walsh, along with other colleges and universities receiving Federal Title IV funds, are required to report various points of information to students, employees, and prospective students. Walsh has chosen to utilize its Web site for this purpose. You will find links to information concerning Walsh, including pertinent information regarding selected Walsh policies and procedures, campus security and drug-free atmosphere. More detailed information on programs, policies and procedures is contained in the Walsh Catalog, which is also online. Recent policy updates are noted in the registration materials which are published four times per year.

Professional Licensure Disclosure

The state professional licensure boards in each state are responsible for establishing the requirements for licensure for their state.  Students contemplating the pursuit of the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential should contact the relevant Board in the U.S. state/territory from where they intend to obtain their license for the most up-to-date information. The Bachelor of Accountancy and Master of Science in Accountancy at Walsh College have been designed to help students meet the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam and licensure requirements in the State of Michigan. Please be advised that State Board of Accountancy regulations and policies can change without notice and Walsh College cannot and does not make any representation, warranty, or guarantee that the successful completion of these programs will permit a student to sit for the exam and/or obtain the CPA license. No statement made at any time by any member of the Walsh faculty or any other representative of Walsh shall be deemed to be such a representation, warranty, or guarantee.

National Council of State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements

Walsh is a member of the National Council of State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) https://nc-sara.org and participates in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA).  SARA is “an agreement among member states that establishes comparable national standards for interstate offerings of postsecondary distance education courses and programs”.

Students whose complaints are not otherwise resolved through Walsh’s informal and formal complaint process, may file a complaint with the appropriate agency in the student’s state of residence at https://www.nc-sara.org/state-portal-entity-contacts.  Students should follow the SARA Complaint Process at https://www.nc-sara.org/student-complaints-process.  SARA does not resolve complaints about student grades or student conduct violations.
