Walsh College Named Gold-Level Veteran-Friendly School for Fourth Year
For the fourth consecutive year, Walsh College has been named a Gold-Level Veteran Friendly School, the highest distinction offered by the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency (MVAA). Each year, MVAA recognizes institutions demonstrating a commitment to serving and supporting student veterans and military-connected students, including students currently serving on active duty, in the National Coast Guard or U.S. Reserve, a dependent spouse or child or a surviving dependent of a deceased service member.
Gold-Level Military Friendly Schools are recognized for meeting at least six of the required criteria including a veteran-specific web presence and veteran-specific advising, resources and staff. Walsh also waives admission application fees for veterans, offers veteran-specific scholarships and extended payment due dates for GI Bill® users, has a dedicated space for veterans at its Troy location and provides veteran-focused career services.
GI Bill® is registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). More information about education benefits offered by VA is available at the official U.S. government website at https://www.benefits.va.gov.gibill.
Walsh is also designated a Yellow Ribbon School and a Military Friendly School. For a full list of Veteran-Friendly Schools visit https://michiganvets.force.com/veteranfriendlyschools/s/dashboard.
