Research and APA Crash Course
Research and APA Crash Course
Thursday, February 23 | 6 – 8 p.m. | Troy campus or online
During this workshop, you will learn how to use the online databases and how to cite sources using APA citations. This session will include basics (how to access the databases and where you need citation information) as well as intermediate skills (how to refine search terms, when to quote or paraphrase, and how to make in-text citations most effective).
This session will be useful as an introduction to independent research, citations, or APA; or as a review of these skills. It is especially recommended for students who are new to online research, unsure about APA format, or nervous about avoiding plagiarism when using sources. You can attend this workshop in-person at the Troy campus or on Zoom. There will be time for you to practice and ask questions.
