Dr. Michael Levens Announces Resignation as President and CEO, Dr. Suzanne Siegle Named Interim
Michael Levens Ph.D has announced his resignation as president and CEO of Walsh College, and effective immediately, the Board of Trustees has named Suzanne (Suzy) Siegle, J.D., Ed.D., as interim president and CEO.
Dr. Siegle has most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer. Dr. Siegle’s academic and professional background blends her passions for business, law, and higher education, specifically focusing on the value and importance of business and technology education in today’s world.
Dr. Levens was appointed Walsh’s eighth president and CEO in August 2020. He has been with Walsh since 2006, first as an adjunct faculty member, then full-time professor and academic chair of undergraduate business programs and later the marketing department.
The Board is grateful for Dr. Levens’ 17 years of service to Walsh College. He came into this role during a global pandemic and led the college through times of great uncertainty for everyone. We wish him well in his next chapter.
Dr. Levens and Dr. Siegle are working along with the Board and management team to assure a smooth transition over the next few weeks and position the college for continued success.
In our centennial year, we are well positioned even in a challenging market, and we have an exceptional management team who will carry the torch forward.
Michael Plotzke, Chairman, Board of Trustees
