Walsh College Named a Top Transfer-Friendly School in the U.S.
Walsh College proudly announces its selection to the esteemed 2023 Transfer Honor Roll by Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) for the fourth consecutive year. This recognition is bestowed upon just 150 colleges and universities across the country, highlighting their commitment to providing innovative pathways, resources, and support for community college transfer students.
Walsh College underwent a comprehensive evaluation based on its Transfer Friendliness Rating in PTK Connect, an advanced online tool empowering students to assess admission and recruitment practices, attendance costs, and campus life. Only institutions with top-notch ratings, within the top 25 percent, secured their place on the Transfer Honor Roll.
PTK recognizes the academic achievement of students at associate degree-granting colleges and is made up of more than 3.5 million members and nearly 1,300 chapters in 11 nations.

Karen Mahaffy, Director of Community College and International Student Relations explains, “All students are transfer students at Walsh College! As an upper-division institution, Walsh College is unique in that all students must have 60 credits or an associate degree to enroll. We provide a seamless and easy transfer experience with over 50 years of partnering with community colleges.” Which means students won’t have to delay their career retaking classes for credits they have already earned.
Transfer students have many scholarship opportunities, including several valued up to $10,000 and a limited number of full tuition scholarships. For the recent 2023 Spring Semester, $425,000 in scholarships was awarded, with new opportunities always available.
