Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering helps in so many ways. Whether it’s connecting with students, planning events, or helping identify employment resources, it all supports the Walsh College network.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

Alumni Ambassador Program

Support conversations with prospective and current students who are interested in:

  • The program you were in
  • Relating to your personal criteria (e.g., being a full-time employee, parent, partner, etc. while taking on education)
  • Your current role/employment history
  • Helping students determine how to align their program with their goal(s)

Event Management

  • Before events, we assemble feedback groups to get a fresh perspective on current plans and how we could optimize audience appeal
  • During events, we appreciate volunteer support (i.e., set up, management, breakdown, etc.)
  • After events, we assemble those feedback groups to share the results and identify opportunities for improvement

Mentor Program

  • Connect and build relationships with individuals on a 1×1, mentor/mentee level, help guide them on their current path by providing feedback and support tailored to them

Career Services

  • Our CS Team is interested in meeting employers to add to hiring events (e.g., career fairs)
  • They are also interested in connecting with individuals who may have hiring opportunities for students and alumni

Future Volunteer Opportunities

Podcast Series

  • Podcast series interviewing alumni – currently pending the development of the podcast studio, we’re building a cache of awesome alumni to connect with here

Recognition Pieces

  • Similar to Forbes 30 under 30, 40 under 40, etc.
